It's wedding season in our beautiful city of Kelowna, so we paired up with Gypsy Soul Designs, a gorgeous boutique on Pandosy Street where boho dreams are made, and the sisters at New Image Kelowna, who worked their hair and beauty magic, to showcase some unique styles for the wedding you have to attend in the coming months.

We hope you like prints, tassels and silk, because our five models are going to share their experience of wearing their outfits, and how it made them feel frolicking around waterfront park.

The Lolita DressWorn by Kayleigh

Confident, comfortable and a little bit different - that's usually what I go for when I'm heading off to a wedding or event, and this dress definitely did the trick!

I loved that the dress was somewhat fitted but still comfortable, and I found the overall style and colouring to be unconventionally pretty. One of my favourite parts was the slit in the front of the dress which starts about mid-thigh - I found it offered something really unique and I loved that it added flowy-ness to the otherwise-fitted garment. Oh yeah, and the bright-blue tassel earrings were pretty dang sweet.

Overall, my outfit felt kind of like something from my grandma's closet (those who know me, will know that this is totally a compliment) that got a super-trendy upgrade.

The Valentina DressWorn by Brittany

When I am picking an outfit for a wedding, I always think about how well I am going to be able to dance in it, and my dress was the perfect combination of comfortability and style.

I am a sucker for rusty tones and bright accents, and this dress managed to have both. I love that it was fitted around the hips and looser in the waist, making it easy to feel good in!

I loved the jewelry and bag that they paired with my dress. The burgundy tassel earrings were so cute, I ended up buying them!

The ladies at Gypsy Soul were great and helped to bring out my personality in the dress. From the dresses to the jewelry and accessories, each of our outfits came together perfectly.

The Harlow Dress (Blush)Worn by Karen

Being decently tall, I have a hard time finding maxi dresses that are long enough in length so I can actually wear heels or cute shoes but this dress was an exception. Not normally a fabric I would choose, this silk gown made me feel classy, unique and confident!

The ladies at Gypsy Soul were great at piecing together the outfit with the tassel earrings, and going through over ten different belts until they decided on the white leather. From there, they paired with one of their new round handbags, and voila!

Tip when wearing this dress, bring a bounce sheet! The silk and wind combo caused some static and stickiness, however kept a flattering shape for the most part.

The high neckline with adjustable tie allowed for minimal accessories, which I was a huge fan of. I felt dressy but not overly dressed up, which is how you want to feel as a guest at a wedding.

The Gypsy DressWorn by Andrea

The ladies at Gypsy Soul have a great eye for style and their space is super unique. It felt like you were just trying on clothes with your girlfriends.

The dress I wore had beautiful colours, and really simple details. The silk material was amazing and exactly what I would want to wear to a summer wedding. It had everything I look for; it was comfortable and feminine. The length was adjustable depending on where you tied it so it would look great on any height and I didn't have to adjust it once.

My favourite part of the outfit was how I felt in it - I’m a sucker for long, flowy dresses.

The Dail DressWorn by Alexa

I don’t normally go for tie-dye patterns or purples and yellows, and when I first put the dress on I felt like I was swimming in it. However, it felt like it all came together once we spent the time wrapping the ties around my shape. It's a true twirl-worthy dress; I just wanted to walk barefoot on the beach and have the dress catch the warm summer breeze!

My tip for wearing this dress is, you have to be comfortable and confident in going braless, and take the time to try different ways to wrap it around you to figure out to find the perfect fit.

I love the back of the dress and how you can wrap the ties around your torso to create a definition for a figure-slimming look while still having a summer breeze bottom that floats away from your body. It's an earthy and simple dress but brings out that fairytale feeling.

Overall, it's a perfect casual, bohemian dress to wear to a beach wedding. The fabric is more advisable and light, and it brought out my inner gypsy.
