With New Year's Eve just around the corner, we wanted to show you a variety of fun outfits you can wear as you count down to the new decade.

Since we are in a time of environmental awareness, what better way to ring in the new year than in a variety of sustainable fashion pieces?

Shimmy in your sequent dress, pop a bottle of champagne in a flowy teal skirt or head to the next party in your camel cape.

Sabrina, the face behind thesummerofdesigns, is an environmentally conscious fashion lover whose passion is repurposing fabrics and designing beautiful pieces for her friends and family.

Although Sabrina's designs are not yet selling to the public, it is on her checklist in the future.

The two blue dresses were made originally for a girls trip to Vegas, but are also the perfect dresses to ring in the New Year!

The blue shiny dress (middle) was made on a mannequin and had to be draped in order for it to get its fitted shape.

Both dresses are fun for a night out on the town and the sequin dress reflects light all around the room.

Pair the dresses with some black tights or nylons.

Finish the look with a pair of black ankle boots, or for a fancier event, a pair of high heels.

On a chillier night you can add a cute navy blue trench coat.

You can also opt for this beautiful red silk dress.

With cinching in the waist, it has a flattering fit.

The fabric reflects the light beautifully and folds elegantly as you roll up the sleeves.

If dresses aren't your style, pair a black tank top or t-shirt with a beautiful flowy skirt.

The translucent teal skirt was made of thrifted fabric, which inspired the midi skirt as well.

It catches the light beautifully.

The midi skirt is also from up-cycled material.

Wrap tops are a great option because they can be tied a variety of different ways to allow you to create many of different looks.

Sabrina started sewing in 2014, after her mom taught her how to use the machine to alter various fabrics.

Together, they made their first project. A big fleece robe!

Through Youtube tutorials and reading thrifted books about sewing, Sabrina quickly learned the ins and outs of garment making.

Although a lot of the fabrics Sabrina uses are from thrift stores, she can alter existing pieces into something new.

Whatever she doesn't use, Sabrina donates to the S.H.A.R.E society to be recycled.

The clothing featured in this edition of What to Wear in Kelowna were generously lent to us by Sabrina, you can follow her designs on Instagram @thesummerofdesigns
