For our special Mother's Day edition of What to wear in Kelowna, we are featuring five local moms that positively affect our community, while at the same time doing the most important job - being a mom.
Shannon ChristensenFounder and Executive Director of Mamas for Mamas
Shannon is a busy mama, who puts everyone else first, even when it comes to spending money and buying clothes.
Her growing charity, Mamas for Mamas, provides support to local mothers in crisis, and ongoing support for low income mothers and their children.
Her style is very classy and comfortable, and she loves to support local.
Tigerlily Fashions sells a variety of local and international brands, but one in particular really caught Shannon's eye.
Floral Anyone?A local Peachland designer, Genessa Jackson, makes beautiful, flattering pieces that look great on everyone.
"My mom even owns this dress! We both have great taste."
And who doesn't love a comfortable, versatile maxi dress?
This European brand, Skunk Funk, is completely green and uses recycled materials in their designs.
It's one of those pieces that just fits in all the right places.

Jaclyn RobertsonOwner of Okanagan Lifestyle Apparel Co.
A busy mom of one, and with one on the way, this entrepreneur is all about unique designs and comfort.
Jaclyn is at the forefront of creating a positive change in our community, and strongly believes in giving back to the Okanagan through her brand.

Jaclyn loves unique and different pieces, while at the same time staying within her neutral colour pallet comfort zone.

Lee-Ann is an active mom, who owns two businesses as well as contributed to writing a best selling book!
As a painter, colour consultant and interior stylist for her business LA Home Staging Painting & Design, as well as teaching somatic yoga for LA lifestyles, this entrepreneur appreciates comfort and relaxed style when it comes to clothing.
She loves to dress up when she can, as painting clothes and yoga pants are her main work attire. Sun dresses and cute capris are a nice change for this busy mama.
As a mom to a teenage boy, she loves to keep active even outside of work.
Nikki CsekCEO of Csek Creative
If you've ever seen Nikki out and about, she is probably one of the best dressed women in the room every time.
Dressed up and feeling great is what best describes her style. Besides running her own company and sitting on a variety of boards, she is also a mother of three.
Going to and from meetings, and representing her company while in the office, Nikki does so in style.

You will often see her completely matching head to toe, and rarely ever dressed down.
"I don't sandal. I don't casual."
This statement pretty much sums up her style!
Nikki has an eye for great jewelry, unique design, and pretty much anything red. And, as much as she likes to shop, she very much supports local clothing stores.
Rhonda RaddatzRetired
Rhonda recently retired after working nearly 40 years with SGI in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Within a month of both her and her husband's retirement, Rhonda and Marty sold their family home and moved to Kelowna to be closer to their family.
Rhonda now spends her time volunteering at the YMCA Childcare Centre (she loves spending time with the adorable little ones) and volunteering at the cafe at Kelowna General Hospital, along with any other volunteer opportunities that come up.
Her style is confident and comfortable. Not afraid to flash a bit of colour.
She is bubbly and friendly, but also bold and powerful, and her style definitely reflects that!
Moms come in all shapes, sizes, ages and differ when it comes to style. There is no one way for a mom to dress. It's all about being comfortable, staying confident, and being proud of the amazing things you've accomplished in life. And, one of those accomplishments is being a mom.
